Introduction

The World Scout Parliamentary Union (WSPU) is an independent Association of Parliamentarians, functioning according to Fundamental Scout Principles expressed in the Constitution of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM).

The aim of the WSPU is to establish an international network of parliamentarians to support, at their level, the various aspects of WOSM activities, whether nationally or internationally.

Youth inclusion in WSPU General Assemblies

Scout parliamentarians from around the world participated in the 7th WSPU General Assembly to discuss the role of parliamentarians in supporting youth development and youth empowerment in connection to the Scout Movement. A few of the plenary session topics included “Character Education and Scouting” and “Building Future Leaders”.
